Awesome list, hard to disagree with anything on it. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought Inglourious Basterds was a little bit better than Pulp Fiction.

Who's Andrew Bird? Never heard of him before this ... or so I thought ! So I 'googled' and 'youtubed' his name. Talented he sure is - great voice too - but I wouldn't rate him higher than the Doors, Led Zep, Petty, The Who or the Stones! I would though prefer him a whole lot more than Queen or ELO though ... My top 6 would be Stones Beatles Petty Doors The Who Led Zep. I must admit though my pics are also based on cultural impact as well. Anyway thanks for bringing Andrew Bird to my attention .... seems he could play any instrument masterfully ... reminiscent to me of Brian Jones. Seems I'm going to be adding to my CD collection! Will try to get him played on the radion here in Ireland Thanks for this.

Little Bill shows that true evil and villainy can come from anywhere. Even the sheriff whose supposed to protect you. And there's no question when it comes to Amon Goeth. He finds pleasure in shooting the jews he owns daily and shows no emotion when being hung. Instead of begging for his life, he simply says "Hail Hitler."

How do Little Bill Daggett and Amon Goeth even make the list?!?!?
Anton Chigurh is a definite maybe. Maybe he starts the list at #10, but you'll still have a hard time convincing the majority of the public.
I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan, but how does Darth Vader not make the list???
Finally, Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a shoe-in on my villian list.

“Don’t talk like one of them, you’re not! Even if you’d like to be. To them, you’re just a freak–like me. They need you right now. When they don’t…they’ll cast you out. Like a leper. See, their morals, their code: it’s a bad joke. They’re dropped at the first sign of trouble. They’re only as good as the world allows them to be. You’ll see, when the chips are down these civilized people will eat each other.”

It's definetly the best one, I mean it's so true and at the same time it proves something that is way bigger than just this movie. I find it insanely good. Especially the "They’re only as good as the world allows them to be." part, it makes me drool :o

It even helped me finish my homework :D

Love?
Its a human feeling. What's the word that all brings think in their minds. You see, people control their little worlds and follow their order in the Government is the funy thing in control their people and nothing goes to wrong. But when I say just one little old mayor is gonna died. Well everyone LOSE THEIR MINDS! I just do things. Chaos is the better than being bored with nothing. HA HA HA HA! Heath Ledger was the greatest actor that played the joker. Why so serious? What happen? Did your balls drop out?
My father was a drinker, one night he came home crazy than usal. Mommy goes get the knite and he doesn't like that one bit! He takes the knite from he and saids 'Why so serious?' he looks at me and put the blade in my mouth and saids 'Let's put a smile that FACE!' ANd then..
Why so serious?
'You look like my father. I HATE MY FATHER!'
'I had a wife just beautiful like you.'
'You want know I got these scars?'
RIP. Heath Ledger.

You see, those people have no idea what it feels like to be the best of them all...
These Clivilzed peolpe are controling their little worlds and living with rules and bounders, but guys like me are likely to have the most fun in making Chaos to their worlds and those who live by their rules/orders for greater good. HAHAHA! But they talk as if they're better than the rest. So, I put blade in their mouth(s) to show them that I can be serious too. Then, I say 'Why so Serious?' :) Oh how these funny people can make me have fun and leave them with smile on their face. Fully this wolrd is sranger than riches and poorest people in this America. Joker is the most greatest emeny to the Batman. But the funny feeling is that they were willing to have the most fun in trying to kill the Batman and his fun toys. May you rest in peace, Heath Ledger. You played the Joker better than us all. But your Chaos will be still around and I will never forget you. The Dark Knight. 'Why so Serious?', 'Let's put a smile on that Face!' and my favorite 'You want to know how I got my scars?'

Okay, this movie was epically amazing, I completely agree, but there are some things about it that keep it from flawless, c'mon.

Maggie Gyllenhal might be a better actress than Katie Holmes, but let's face it, she's nowhere near as pretty. She looked like an old, sad, drooping pug, like a seventy-five year old woman dressing up as a girl in her early twenties. I couldn't help but think, amidst how spellbound I was throughout the movie, "shit, bitch is lookin' fug" every time she came on screen. When the Joker was calling her pretty at the dinner party, I was like, "Wow, I see why you call yourself the Joker."

Also, and I know he's supposed to disguise his voice and everything so there's a legitimate reason, but really - Christian Bale's child-molester voice? HAHAHAHAHAHA. The first time I saw the movie, I barely noticed, but the subsequent times? Wow, I just couldn't take certain parts seriously. Towards the end he growls something along the lines of, "Don't shoot the boy, Harvey" and I die. It's just... hahahaha, too much, dude - too freakin' much.

BUT none of this should be taken as a testament to my thoughts on the movie as a whole - I maintain that it is one of the best movies I have ever seen and I, like you, will never get tired of watching it over and over and over again. Magnificent, Heath Ledger is untouchable, and anyone who hasn't seen this masterpiece is severely missing out.

Especially on Blu-Ray - it's SICK.

Okay, this movie was epically amazing, I completely agree, but there are some things about it that keep it from flawless, c’mon.

Maggie Gyllenhal might be a better actress than Katie Holmes, but let’s face it, she’s nowhere near as pretty. She looked like an old, sad, drooping pug, like a seventy-five year old woman dressing up as a girl in her early twenties. I couldn’t help but think, amidst how spellbound I was throughout the movie, “shit, bitch is lookin’ fug” every time she came on screen. When the Joker was calling her pretty at the dinner party, I was like, “Wow, I see why you call yourself the Joker.”

Also, and I know he’s supposed to disguise his voice and everything so there’s a legitimate reason, but really – Christian Bale’s child-molester voice? HAHAHAHAHAHA. The first time I saw the movie, I barely noticed, but the subsequent times? Wow, I just couldn’t take certain parts seriously. Towards the end he growls something along the lines of, “Don’t shoot the boy, Harvey” and I die. It’s just… hahahaha, too much, dude – too freakin’ much.

BUT none of this should be taken as a testament to my thoughts on the movie as a whole – I maintain that it is one of the best movies I have ever seen and I, like you, will never get tired of watching it over and over and over again. Magnificent, Heath Ledger is untouchable, and anyone who hasn’t seen this masterpiece is severely missing out.

Especially on Blu-Ray – it’s SICK.

Dude, I 100% agree. Silk Spectre or whatever the hell that useless girl's name was needed to get swallowed up by a hole, Night Owl was the shittiest super hero I've ever seen on screen, and Dr. Manhattan was just not convincingly acted at all.

I think the idea of him is amazing; it's creative and striking to make someone so emotionless toward the human race. But the fact that he decided to save the world because of that absolutely idiotic girl who whined the whole movie just hacks his credibility away with a machete. He needed to be less cheesy.

Rorshach and The Comedian were ACE. Amazingly done. I'm sure in the comics they're all that great, but as for the movie, those were the only two well-acted characters. Night Owl should've been immensely endearing but he was just lame, Silk Spectre needed to be played by someone who can act, and Dr. Manhattan needed to be strikingly stoic with a deeper, less inflected voice.

All in all, I totally agree with your review.

***Spoiler***
Several flaws, here are a couple: the empty glass of milk on the table in the opening scene moves several time between takes. I mean really, how hard can it be, just don't touch the f-ing glass, leave it right where it was at, are you kidding me?

Second, when you are being choked, you can't make any grunts, moans or any sounds at all. The vocal cords work by vibrating when air passes through the trachea. So, if your trachea is being pinched off because someone is choking you, air cannot pass over your vocal chords. With that said, why does the actress moan and grunt when she is being strangled?? Are you kidding me? This really bothered me and kept me from getting back into the movie for several minutes. QT is slipping...
Pulp Fiction is still better

Your choices are phenomenal but they only reflect your personal opinion, which is cool, I'm not here to argue with your own personal taste but to write mine :)

1st - Pulp Fiction is THE MOVIE; not just from 90's but of all times - at least for me

2nd - you've "forgotten" quite some names (random order) - how about Heat/ Casino/ American history X/ The thin red line/ Groundhog day/ Reservoir dogs/ Fear and loathing in Las Vegas/ Rob Roy/ Primal fear/ The devil's advocate/ Leon/ The legend of the pianist on the ocean/ 12 Monkeys/ L.A. Confidential/ The green mile/ Dances with wolves/ Glengarry Glen Ross/ White men can't jump/ The prince of tides/ Hoffa/ Point break/ The People vs. Larry Flynt/ Wuthering Heights/ Jerry Maguire/ The Truman show/ The big Lebowski/ Snow falling on cedars/ Cape fear and I'm sure I've forgotten many more others ...

You used the wrong 'there' multiple times. You also said mad instead of made. It should be there's not as much action, not theirs not as much action.

Other than that, I couldn't agree more. As I pondered over the movie last night and tonight, I realized one thing that was truly great in the movie was the way that killings were carried out. For example, when the bear jew smashed the nazi's head in, it started out as a very comical situation, but quickly became scary. As he continued to bash the nazi's brain in, you could feel such strong anger and sadness.

Terminator Salvation is a very good movie. It is obvious that even without Schwarzenegger the movie can be good. The action scenes are top-notch.
